I can’t believe it!  There is a website dedicated to the pursuit of the fashion conscious female pastor.  I actually thought it was a spoof until I began reading some of the posts.

Now this is a site for me!!  I love fashion, makeup, bags, the whole nine yards.  I do not want to end up looking frumpy and out of touch.

Why am I concerned about this you ask?  Well….a couple of reasons.  First, I think guys have it way easier than the women do when it comes to looking good as a pastor.  For guys, scrape the face each morning, brush hair, put on pitstick and maybe some aftershave, and make sure the clothes are clean.  BINGO!! Looking Gooood!!  For women, especially fashion conscious females, it is not so easy.  Our morning routine is much more complicated and we have the added bonus of pressure from who-knows-where of looking good, else we be placed into the category of frumpyness.  YIKES!!!!  Not for this vicar that’s for sure!!

Second, I have been thinking about my internship, which begins next Tuesday!!!  Yeah, it is really happening!  I cannot believe it!   And because of this I have been thinking how I will be *seen*.  I guess it is just a case of nerves and wondering about the future.  Stay tuned, I will keep y’all up to date.  Until then….where’s my lipstick????
